Happy Thoughts is a very personal project for Michaela and her first web series as the sole creator. "I wanted to tell a story about how sexual trauma can haunt a survivor years after the event, something small can trigger it, and how that internal struggle can be the most difficult thing to share with people. We want people to view us as happy - we want to view ourselves as happy. We don't want people to see us falling apart. And when we start asking for help, we can't always get people to listen."
